Mississippi Association of Arts Education
I believe in arts education. I am so grateful for the art docents who came into my elementary school and taught me about Van Gogh and Matisse and Degas. I am grateful to the many bonus classes I had in school – ceramics, painting, choir and the like to find outlets for my voice and give my brain a mental break. It makes me said to think these programs are getting continually cut across this country and deemed not vital for children.
VISIT MUSEUM’S SITE
So when I came across the Mississippi Association of Arts Education website and found it lacking and out-of-date in may areas, I had to reach out and offer my services.
I first put together a logo that reflected the diverse components of “arts” being taught in the state. We wanted bright colors and a website that could share a lot of information on its home page. This project was completed in 2014 and built upon WordPress so that the organization could make updates themselves which they are doing.
